Saba (Cooked Grape Must) by Appennino Food — known in Italian as mosto cotto — is an ancient product of Italian peasant tradition. Slowly and patiently cooking grape must yields a dense, fragrant, dark-brown syrup. Saba's flavour is sweet and pleasant, suited to both sweet and savoury dishes: drizzle it over cheeses, roasted meats and vegetables, or over fruit, gelato and panna cotta for dessert.
Ingredients: Cooked grape must. Contains sulphites. Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat.
